Medicaid

Over the past several years, professional social work has sought to secure LICSW participation in the panel of the Medicaid Managed Care company, the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP). Currently, there is an understanding that in the fall or winter of 2001-02, MBHP will add a measured number of providers to their panel, as applications will be accepted from all licensed mental health disciplines.

We will post updates about this process at this location of the web site. NASW has also led efforts to ensure that second-year MSW students would continue to be reimbursed for services to the Medicaid population.
